corona virus response

We know that the ongoing flu season and the spread of COVID-19 (the Coronavirus) is at the forefront of many of your minds. With Colorado declaring a state of emergency, along with the constant stream of reported cases and news of supply shortages, it is hard to ignore. We at Valley View have been keeping up with the coverage and seeking counsel to respond to this outbreak. Here are a few pieces of guidance and some steps we are taking as a church.

1. Faith

This is a time of uncertainty and anxiety for many. However, we serve a God who is greater than all things and cares for each of us. We encourage you to cling to Scripture when worry creeps in. Here are a couple to get you started:

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus." - Philippians 4:6-7

"Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you." - 1 Peter 5:7

2. Facts

Stay informed. Check out the CDC's website HERE and the Colorado Department of Health HERE to find out how you can respond and stay healthy.

3. Preparation

- We will be having Church from Home for the next several weeks. You can visit the Church from Home page for all the details and resources you need to worship with us from hom.

- We have plenty of soap and paper towels in the bathrooms, and we still have hand sanitizer available at the stations in the lobby.

- You can pick up pre-filled, individually packaged communion cups during the week to use for Church at Home.

- Online Giving is set up and ready to go so you can continue being generous.

There will be an ongoing evaluation of all ministry activities and procedures, and we will make adjustments as needed to continue to provide a safe and healthy environment.

In this world we may have troubles, but Jesus has come to overcome the world. (John 16:33) We will continue to pray for this ongoing situation, and we will continue to do everything we can to help your family follow Jesus.
